WHO AM I?
By Frank Emiro
(Running for Governor)
First, I want to thank all of you that will come out on Sept. 14 and vote for me on
the Republican Ballot in the NH Primary. As a NH State Representative, I have
witnessed and dealt with lots of your concerns and the issues that affect your
daily lives.

Grass Roots Campaign
I have chosen a Grass Roots Campaign Approach to best serve the people of
NH. We have taken NO contributions from ANY corporations or other entities.
This means I can focus on the job of Governor without considering special
interests or favors due.

In a recent debate, we four Republican Candidates were asked to give one word
that identifies us. Karen Testerman said “SERVANT”, Jack Kimball said “Leader”,
John Stephens said “Frugal” and I, Frank Emiro said “Results”. Being a
“Servant” is not the role of the Governor. “Leader” is part of the position, but
only a small part of the responsibility, “Frugal”, cutting $300 Million sounds great
and returning over $140 Million is also a nice phrase, BUT, due to these cuts
from the early part of Mr. Stephen’s term as Commissioner NOW NH HAS
PENALTIES of $35, $5, and $1.091 Million (with an M), that need to be paid back
THIS YEAR. That total is 41+ Millions of Dollars!

I am not looking to cut 10% off the budget. That will cut VITAL Services and lay
off more State workers that currently provide services needed for our NH citizens.
Here is my short list:
. Build a Revenue Source without higher taxes
. Bring Stable Jobs into our State by making NH Business-Friendly AGAIN
.Bring Rail Service into Nashua & up I93 to Salem, Londonderry & possibly
Concord (not subsidized Amtrak).
.Get OVERSPENDING UNDER CONTROL
. Bring expanded Gaming/Gambling to NH that would include a Convention
Center, Resort/theater and Yes, a casino. The negative reasons for not doing
so are highly exaggerated. Our Seniors currently use NH buses to go to Conn.
on a $20-$30 ride and receive free buffets and lots of extras. They have a fun
daytrip with friends. NH 2007 HB593 and gaming bills would have put 6500
people to work (according to Senator Bob Clegg).

Affordable Housing
Let’s solve the 8 year wait for subsidized housing for NH Legal citizens that have
worked hard and paid taxes, those with disabilities, seniors in need and our
veterans. They all deserve a safe clean home environment. The currently
depressed housing market may also assist in this effort.

Thank you all for taking the time to find out about me. More info is available on
my website frankemiro.com, also available at your public library free.
Have a Great Day,

Frank R. Emiro
Candidate 4 Governor 2010
