LYNCH IS WINNING THE MONEY WAR
By Stephen Abbott
New Hampshire Herald
Gov. John Lynch has a comfortable lead over
his Republican rivals when it comes to amassing
campaign cash for the Nov. 2 election, with over
40 percent of his funding coming from himself.

In his Aug. 25 campaign finance report, Lynch’s
campaign committee reported raising just over
$1.3 million, which includes a $500,000 loan
from Lynch.

The committee has spent $570,776 thus far,
leaving the three-term incumbent with a
comfortable $744,586 in the bank with over two
months of fundraising to add to it.

His main Republican rival, John Stephen, has raised a total of $974,546, with
only $5,000 of that coming from his own pocket, the rest coming from individual
donors. The campaign has spent just $180,483, leaving $794,062 on hand as of
the Aug. 25 report.

Republican candidate Karen Testerman has raised $28,543 and as of Aug. 25
had spent $28,766, leaving $2,777 on hand to wage her longshot campaign.

Republican candidates Frank Emiro and Jack Kimball did not file reports.

Lynch faces two Democrats in the primary, Frank Sullivan, who has raised
$2,615 and spent $2,520, and Timothy Robertson, who raised $1,750 and
reported spending $800.
